The Class of 1968
250 Freshmen all smiles fresh and scared came tromping up the walkway while all the teaches stared! There rose a mighty laughter as we came pilling in. No one seemed to realize at that moment then – that –
The Class of ‘68. The greatest and the best Would out do all the others In sports, brains and the rest We may have looked like sissies; But remember Superman! The Class of ’68 is wonderful and grand.
Then we stepped up to sophomores, no longer were we rats. All suffered through the heartache. The fights, feuds and spats. We never let our faces show the painful things we stood. The work, the tests, the bomb scare and all that “delicious food”?
Oh, the Class of ‘68 The rarest of the bunch. We never bragged or boosted. Yet we had a hunch…. Never in the history of good old LHS; that there would be another. Like ’68 the best!
We moved on to the Juniors, at last upper class. The fun we had that year went by all too fast. But we still felt like the second best; until the end of the spring. That when we went out on the stage and got our Senior rings.
Oh, the Class of ’68. Rising higher every day, No one could be much better; their simply ain’t no way. The more we work, the better we get, it is obvious to see. Everyone looks up to us… ’68 the Class to be.
New we’re the Mighty Senior of Lancaster High School. We lived through all our troubles. Thanks to John Henry and “PI”. Our footsteps will be followed, though through past be rugged and worn. The last page of our history is yet to be born.
Oh, the Class of ’68. How powerful we are. From 16 strait A students to; Great athletic stares. We love you dear old L.H.S . We thank you rally rate. But always remember our memories
